The Live Arts Portal (web-based services) could be an effective link between educators, students, and professional artists throughout Alberta. Future development is subject in part to community support. Please let us know what you think of our site at info@artstouring.com.
Alberta has a world class education system of 2,000 schools, 30,000 teachers, and 600,000 students. By making a comprehensive source of arts education-related information available to artists, schools, and stakeholders, the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta hopes to reduce the time, money, and expertise necessary in supporting the integration of a greater number of artist performances and residencies in Alberta schools each year.
This Portal could provide the means to readily link artists and educators while offering services relevant to both, such as a comprehensive artists’s directory, touring information, downloadable resources, a wealth of information on the value of the arts in education, and a whole lot more....
